So a few weeks back, my grandfather asked for my advice about a new car, and ended up leaving with a 2017 !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
His trade-in just so happened to be a 2009 Hyundai Genesis V8 with 94k. I’m not too familiar with high-mileage Genesis resale values, but this honestly doesn’t seem like a bad deal.

$8995.
The Caveat: Although this has been meticulously maintained mechanically, don’t let the Carfax fool you - this car has been in a ton of accidents. Despite having both a backup camera and sensors, I know the rear bumper, and trunk lid have been replaced. That goes along with the hood, RF fender, front bumper and maybe the driver’s side door. To add insult to injury, a decent amount of these repairs have been done at a body shop that doesn’t use OEM Parts, does paintwork barely better than Maaco, and takes a “that’ll do” approach to panel gaps. I can confirm it doesn’t have frame damage.

Doesn’t seem like too bad of a deal. I don’t know much about the reliability of those as they get higher mileage.

NP if you understand that despite the V8 it’s not an AMG, it’s closer to a Crown Vic. Those were pretty loaded though if I remember right and pretty smooth.
